Report - McVities Biscuits, Tollcross - Sep2022

So, McVs was closing, yep. It took a long time to finally switch off the digestive creators, but it finally happened in Sep 22. A flurry of visits before proper security measures were implemented was in order. The usual suspects in tow. the five of us made our way around and through sheer luck, didnt run into any security whatsoever. Word on the street has it, security will be tightening up sometime soon as were certain one of the many many cameras caught us on the way out.

Whats there to say except, a big massive factory that made biscuits. Closed to save money for its greedy owners. Sadly, no biscuits were discovered inside during the explores. Such a sad face when i seen a box that said "hob nobs", only to peek inside and it was full of bleach bottles.

Stripping of the site has started already, and it looks like theyre in a hurry to clear the site for housing. Enjoy

It's a nice place, dated(ish) but pretty sphincter tightening. The lights are all our activated, and there's a secca chap who wanders around at random.

Good fun though. The boiler house itself seems a modern affair. It's surrounded by PIR activated cams and seems a bit modern. Given the modernish appearance, we just missed it out. There is an old bit, that seems closed for yonks, but not much in it.

You must be a different place to what I'm thinking of then. I'm sure it was pure 50s with concrete water tower and fluted chimney! Not to say it's not been modernised inside a bit but looked the part from tha gate.

Well considering I could look through the vents of it and see exactly what was in there.....I'd say it's not really worth it. Yes externally it may be "nice" but it's a modern boiler house. Sure I have a pic of it somewhere.
