Was tipped of about this months ago by a mate who rides his bike on the downs just never got round to searching for it, anyhow mentioned it to Hessian who devoted his time searching across the seven sisters and beachy head downs on flash earth, found a possible went and looked and hey presto.
We headed up there last night and made the long walk to the entrance, result as it was still open, we ventured in careful not to disturb the bats who were hanging around
The entrance starts in the middle of the downs and runs in a dead straight line under the hills, a farm, and a road, ending out onto the side of a bank which over looks Eastbourne.
Expecting it to be a crappy 50yrd tunnel we was more than surprised to be still walking it after 20 minutes, mostly brick lined leading into the odd chalk parts, not really much to see to be honest a couple of big arse pipes and some old candles, was just good to find some underground stuff in Eastbourne as its rather pants around here for that.
