It was here that machining work was carried out, using a host of good solid British made tooling. Sadly we were unable to get into the ground floor room where all the machinery was, as there were just too many contractors and diggers outside. So, we had to make do with the upper floor...
This building had obviously not been used for a long time, with water and weeds growing everywhere. In the office areas were a load of machine handbooks, some filing cabinets and other remnants of the building's former use, including some British Leyland envelopes. No doubt within a month or so this building too will just be a sea of rubble.
Thanks to dweeb for the helpful phone call.
