Midland Mills were the home of the British Mohair Holdings company and the hand knitting wool manufacturers Jarol. It was built in 1871 and closed in 2001. Midland Mills is a two acre site which consists of three, Grade II listed buildings which date back to the 19th century. Work was started on converting the mills for accomodation, but the work seems to have stalled in recent years.
This was just a quick, impromptu visit with @Sheard when passing from another site. Entrance was made easier by the very drug addled chap throwing himself about in the street outside, distracting the attention of anyone passing away from us making our way in through the undergrowth. As the pictures show this is largely a series of very empty but colourful spaces.
