Info from 28ds user (jtza) as there is little to no info online.
The depot was owned by Cheshire West and Chester council and carried out fleet maintenance for the council and surrounding area.
The site shut in 2011 and the most recent news article regarding the depot came in 2015. 105 homes were planned to be built on the land by Eccleston Homes. The plans included a village hall, ambulance station and of course the houses. At the front of the site the ambulance station is already present but the rest of the site currently sits empty
The explore
After visiting the nearby popular explore I wanted to check this out after finding it on maps when looking for the other explore, despite many others doing the nearby one none that I asked knew anything about this or explored it themselves so i had no idea what to expect, my partner feeling a lil achy decided to wait in the car while i went in.
Access was easy originally planning on trying a window out of sight of the ambulance station located at the front of the site but after realising it only leading to a single room I decided to just swiftly walk past and hope no one came out and said anything. i headed straight for the back of the site and into the large warehouse building, normally met with broken glass and graffiti i was pleasantly surprised to see none
was still some wooden cabinets still in place and in good condition
was still some original signage around and a record player for some reason lol
clearly a self destruct button better not press it π
next up the office and reception areas
love how ferns find their way into these places nothing i love more than seeing nature taking over. At this point i rang my husband telling him to come have a look to but he was hesitant as there were people outside the ambulance station
voodoo doll vibe's
the canteen still with cups on the side hardly a 5 star joint lol
then I headed to the out buildings one room full of bus seats
possible satellite dishes in crates
some broken machinery
finally i had a look around the smaller out building very little inside them though
having seen everything I headed back to the car at this point hubby decided he wanted to see inside aswell and as the people by the ambulance station had gone inside I decided to take him in at this point i couldn't care about being seen so we just strolled rite in π
Thanks for looking
