Located on the corner of Ashton Street and Fylde Road in the Ashton-on-Ribble district of Preston. The Savoy Cinema opened with the showing "The Sea Wolf" on 27th June 1921. On the Saturday night of the Preston Guild, only five people turned up for the second showing. The manager gave them their money back and advised them to go and watch the torchlight procession!
