Had been here before shortly after doing Megatron ( about 7 years ago ) before i was a member on here , My photos that day were pretty much unusable so a revisit was always going to be on the cards . Arriving early in the morning the whole place is alive with joggers dog walkers etc so i was seen climbing in to the start point but only got a few funny looks before going underground 😆 The explore starts at the back of the fat cat pub at the side of the kelham island museum in one of the more trendy areas of Sheffield
climbing in at this fenced in area it was easy to get in next pick looking upstream to the sluice gate
then looking downstream
going through this you come to another open air section
last time i was down here there was scaffolding here now its completely overgrown and hard to get through
choosing the right hand tunnel to go down ( should have gone left as it was drier ) i got kitted up just out of view
well bigger than i remember but just as silty on the bottom it was hard work getting through !
a junction coming in on the right
was a dead end
previous pick was the left hand arch ( looking back to the start ) the dry one then looking downstream
bit further on now 2 arches have become one , the later part being spraycreted
quick look back
then in to another open air section
was a lot more overgrown than on my first visit
had to reverse in to this last section a slight drop down in to the chamber it then became 2 RCP pipes to the outflow
the end some nice brick vaulting in the roof
well thats it revisited was a silty one but dont be fooled by the name its not a small culvert cheers for viewing 👍
