Well after Fleet Councillor Bob Schofield kindly informed me via email that:

The works are planned to commence in October, but no date has been fixed yet. The developer's agent Prologis has said htey will inform us once a contract has been awarded.
The contract is primarily to reduce the old industrial units to ground level. There will be no underground works at this time. The presence of asbestos has been recognised on the site and any buildings with this contamination will be fully enclosed during controlled removal work. We beleive the work is likely to take around 6 months, but htis is to be confirmed.

...tig, a non-member and I decided to get our skates on and get down to Pyestock for one of the last trips there.

After a very painful entrance on my part (my arm is still a technicolour of cuts and bruises), we conquered Cells 3 and 4, the Plant House and the Air House – and also an mysterious room we weren’t familiar with covered in pigeon poo (see first picture).

We caught a fellow explorer down by the Sahara doors and helped him with some shots. We also had a few near misses with the infamous Land Rover (with tig nicely wedging himself between some pipes at one point to conceal himself :thumb) but simple ducking and hiding behind pipes seemed to do the trick.

As a first time to Pye, I was completely blown away by its vastness. The way the place just looms into view suddenly after rambling through the woods is just epic.

No doubt there’ll be a lot of traffic there over the coming weeks with its impending demolition. It really calls for a mass urbex protest – you know, tying ourselves to the buildings/running in front of bulldozers etc… :p:
