Visited with OT, Squirrel, CatV, and would you believe Turkey!

Pretty standard dyeworks with some very nice features here and there, including an impressive admin with acid etched windows. The firm was swallowed up by Coates Viyella and closed some time in the early 2000's.

The works has a tiled engine hall, rather small and plain but it's there. Various sheds which would have contained machinery and vats for the dying of wool. The canteen and labs are honorific in terms of modernisation but the maintenance workshops, works offices and stores are all of a good vintage

We rocked up to find boarding so fresh the saw dust was still blowing around. The usual clowns pocket was found and we were in. A nice relaxed explore with your mates, what the whole thing is about really...

Nah it was more of a social trip, we had to find something with disabled access for Turk!

Good stuff, theres a few nice features left there. As you say this is what exploring is about, having a wander around somewhere interesting with mates (something a lot of people thses days don't seem to get!)
