Report - Newbury Magistrates' Court - February 2020

Well this was a one off explore really, as the site is in the advanced stages of demolition now. Only reason I could actually explore it is because the fences were blown over in the recent storm we had. Anyway, the explore was an interesting one. Most of the main sights like the panelled courtrooms have been ripped out sadly, but some interesting features survive, like an archive room with the windlass operated shelves still in situ. Enjoy the photographs. Demolition restarts tomorrow (Monday) and this site will be gone by the end of the week.

(The panelling from the courtroom has been dumped in a side room as a makeshift floor.)
