The Newport Towers Hotel is a 56 bedroom hotel and restaurant situated in the small village of Newport between Bristol and Gloucester. Information seems a little sparse, but it appears that the hotel closed down sometime in late 2006.
Visited yesterday with S.T.A.L.K.E.R and was pleasantly surprised. Despite appearances from the front, this place has some hidden gems and manages to make you smile round every corner.
The main accommodation block is mostly boarded and the rooms are stripped, hence it's pretty dark in there. The gym and spa suite, complete with sauna and hot-tub are also housed here. The really interesting part is the main reception and function area, with two bars, skittle alley, restaurant, and a creepy mirrored ballroom. It really brings to mind Fawlty Towers!
