Report - Newsome Mills and clock tower, Huddersfield. July 2020

There have been previous reports done on this but this site is local to me and now has extremely easy access. So easy I took my little boy with me!
There is plenty on the history on previous threads so I won’t go into massive detail.
it was a huge woollen mill in its heyday built in 1827. After chatting to a local, he said until the most recent fire in 2016, you always knew the time in newsome! A suspected arson attack (cough) nearly destroyed it completely in 2016. It also set fire several times when it was a working textile mill and rebuilt.

Most of my pics again sorry just done on iPhone 8 and mostly of the clock tower as that’s all thats really left now, aside from a couple of office buildings that have been badly fire damaged.

Apparently a manchester based realestate company has bought it and applied for planning for flats but is going to keep the clock tower and arch!

If you edit your post you can delete the pic copies from the text box directly so you can see whats repeated.

Looks a nice mooch, could do with a date otherwise good effort.

You know I realised I have now put every pic on 3 times doh and how do I edit it lol? I go into edit and it just says save and I can’t seem to delete them. Sorry I’m useless never been on one of these things before lol

When you press edit the box with your post should come up, scroll down for the pics and just select and delete or back space/delete them.

I have managed to add on the date but I can’t change any txt or pics... any ideas. I feel a right donut now

I’ve tried... don’t know what I am doing wrong. I go into my post and it will only let me edit the title, not the txt or the pics. Help!

Weird,
When you press the arrow next to report you should get 2 options,



When you click on edit the text box should come up,




In the text box will be your pics with your text,
Delete the extra pics, you can also go down the list of attachments and delete there, if you dont see this it may be a new member thing and you need to contact a mod.



Edit, ive removed my screen shots, the op saw them and they were an eyesore on the thread.

Yeh I don’t seem to have that option on mine
It just says I can edit title and not txt or pics. I’ll contact mod cos it’s annoying me now! Thanks

Nice set there. Liking the 4th shot down, the angle is great. Yep there are quite a few doubles in there. Needs an edit. You should have the option til 9pm tonight, how strange. @mockney reject or @dweeb , @The_Raw @AndyK could one of you kindly help this poster out and edit the shots, pretty please.

Thanks. I’ll message one of those guys. I’m desperate to go back to Crosslee factory before it’s all gone. Thanks for comments and help. Think I prob need to upgrade my phone for a better camera soon!
