Hello again,

We came across this office and what looked like a partial warehouse in the middle of the SOLK complex from my previous post. Nicholas Deakins are a successful footware designer and manufacturer with locations around the UK. I struggled to find any information on this office or why it was abandoned. They have an office further up the street so perhaps they just moved up the road due to price, but they left alot of stuff so who knows... Interesting reguardless.

There have been plans to demolish the whole complex circulating for some years but I doubt anything will come of it. Some of these rooms have been rotting for 30 years.

They had mountains of these disks stored in a back room. I've searched about for what "Tetra" might be but haven't found anything convinving and can't find that square logo anywhere. If you have any insight please let me know.

Floor covered in glass from the roof glass panes that have all been smashed.

The upstairs of the office seemed super sketchy but curiosity required us to go up.

Most of the upstairs rooms had been pretty smashed up. Not sure how much fun it would be to rip up and burn floorboards but what do I know...

No excuses!

Papers all over the floor... They're all older that I am!

I wanted to get up the tower so badly but the trapdoor was locked :(

Some rooms just had some graffiti while others look like a bomb went off...

Cool little place that intrigued me with it's secrets. Odd piles of disks, shoes and vinyls everywhere.

Just a small report this, but I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
My second part of the Solk report should be going up soon so my backlog is mostly cleared. I'm looking for people to poke about some sites in central and southwest London. If you're interested and can handle yourself, ping me a message. I've been going to sites alone or with my +1 up to this point so it'll be cool to meet some people.

Hope you have a good weekend

Nice man, you've been posting quite a lot recently!

Really brings home the reality of a place's past when you find paper evidence of something even older than you. Cool stuff!

The best locations are ones where you can really feel that people used to live in and use the space. Desks with spreadsheets and tasks needing to be done and newspapers that someone had to go and purchace one day in the early 90s... I wonder where those people are today.

The disks are old 5.25" floppy disks, actual 'floppy' disks before the hard plastic 3.5" storage disks came in and were a lot more popular. Tetra would have been the manufacturer, one of a load of similar companies back in the 80s and 90s.
