Well the weather has been a bit poor recently so being at a loose end i decided to stick up a report of places i have been to recently in fact on looking back i have covered around at least a dozen sites in the last few months so here's a selection of some of those sites all covered here before and thanks to the people who first discovered them. Also a bit lazy on my behalf not bothering with the history as its been covered many times before sorry folks any way onto some pics.
First off Colne mills at Slaithwaite
Next stop Shepherds scrap yard at Byker in Newcastle. The yard is still in use with new owners this is the old office block now standing derelict but some canny views from the roof.
Interesting photo of when the old St Peters station was part of the scrap business the station long since gone.
Onto Turners at Rochdale this place has been covered a lot recently so had to stick some in my visit was cut short a bit by meeting a couple of friendly scrap lads who were making a lot of noise which in turn alerted the contractors on site who called in the cops i got out just in time would like to go back as this is a big site.
Onto Dronsfield Mercedes at Dobcross near Oldham in contrast to the above site this was very quiet and a pleasant wander about.
Whilst here i noticed in the distance Bailly Mill though i have been before had to have another look.
Next stop Bailly Mill
Admin well sealed.
Well thats it i didnt bother with the basement as i had heard the machinery down there had all gone. Hope you enjoyed my wander across the north.
