The history of this site is documented quite well so I wouldn't go into great detail expect to say it was an NSA listening station that was abandoned by the Americans in 1992. More info on Wikipedia and Chaos Computer Club
Solo explore whilst in Berlin for a couple of days. Got a little bit lost on the walk from the S-Bahn station but got there in the end. Spent around 3 hours exploring the main buildings: labelled 1458, 1475 and 1455 (British Building) on this map Nice relaxed explore with quite a bit of company from picknickers and others having a look around.
I only had my Fujifilm s5700 (4 seconds max exposure) and GorillaPod so I didn't get some the internal photos I would have liked, I've included a few of the better ones.
1) View from roof of "building 1475"
2) Interesting framing of graffiti
3) Good spot for a picknick
4)
5)
6) Now where did I put my chess pieces...?
7) Document Safes
