Our explore of The barge that was originally built for the Dutch Navy as a way of providing transportable accommodation the 69-room floating hotel, arrived from Portsmouth in 2013 and sat unused till 2021 when it was towed to upnor to be converted into floating apartments for abroad along with two other similar barges one of which was docked at swancombe, on our last visit a ship was docked up to it so we snuck onto the bridge for a quick look aswell

The swanscombe barge smaller than the one in rochester basically a canteen and locker room

A 3rd barge we did may this year that was docked near to where the bigger barge was originally docked was full of boxes of toilet seats lol possibly for use in the conversion of the other barges was also sofas there matching the one's previously on the other barge all 3 had been docked together upnor so possible the same ones

Functional. Cosy. Necessary. Better than camping. It had everything you need, mess hall, showers and stuff. One of the others had a swimming pool.

People think nothing of soldiers living in these, but not illegals?

A swimming pool? U sure it wasn't just sinking 😂😂😂 tbh the rooms in the main one didn't look that bad

An interesting explore, was it one of these i saw on the news last night which they are going to house refugees in? Doesn't look that bad tbh, a b&b on water.

As far as i know they wer sent abroad but who knows
