So were cruising round Oldham looking for mills, when we spot one under demolition. We have a chat woth the demo fellas who would not let us on site. After a brief conversation Speed and I decided if we did not go for it now we would never get to see it so we decided to have a pop at the fine tower anyway.
I cannot believe A, they are ripping stuff like this down, as I would think the fine brick cotton mills are Oldham's greatest asset, and B, nobody has explored this before....!!
We made it up the tower, via one of the floors which still contained spinning machines, which was a real bonus! It was an odd feeling to be inside a building which is shaking from its very foundations as it is ripped apart while you are yards away from the diggers!
