Small is certainly beautiful!

This place is a lovely overshot wheel powering pumps presumably to supply the original Osmaston Hall.
The hall is now a wedding venue & I can see why, it had a sublime tranquillity about it & I really enjoyed spending a bit of time here despite the unwelcoming signs.
Other than that I cant find any history for you so hope u enjoy the pics!

Though calling this a mill is using the word in it's original more general sense as a 'building with machinery' .....people rarely use it that way now.
There is a saw mill on the Osmaston estate and it plus the associated drying shed are also listed.
Whilst perhaps less imposing than the pump house and wheel the saw mill is set rather pleasantly and with it's swiss chalet styling makes for a good postcard type photo as you walk towards itfrom the Osmaston footpath

Saw the info about the actual saw mill, would be an interesting place to see.

I do love that wheel and would certainly like to see it myself. Seen some pics of the sawmill online and looks fantastic from the outside. Nice set mate.
