1968 Closure
On the cliff edge nearly in the sea, can't be long.
The hatch has been smashed off and some of the bricks used to block the entry shaft. I had a go at the FSM nuts but to be honest, they would need to be cut off with a grinder.
Out Newton has a big connection to RAF Holmpton not more than a half a mile away. I am suprised that no effort has been made to tidy this post give the ROC connections to the bunker there. Guess it's because it won't be with us much longer given the costal erosion in the area.
An aircraft post stands nearby on top of a WW2 pillbox.
