We needed to get some BA training done to get familiar and back up to speed with using the kit again, so we popped a lid on this Bury culvert and dropped in.
There has got to be at least five changes in the construction styles as you make your way under the town centre, starting off as a square box section and ending in stone arching, this is as far as we went, RCP led the way once more leading off in to the distance.
Having travelled 900m from our point of entry the 1.6m height throughout the majority of the culvert was taking its toll on an owd mons back and with the thought of another 900m to get out it was decided that we should make our way back.
All in all a cracker of a culvert that kept on giving and no doubt there’s more to see past the point at which we turned back.
