Report - Oxendon Tunnel AKA The Rat Holes Jan 15

Oxendon Tunnel are on the ex market Harbrough to Northhampton line, there are 2 Tunnels Oxendon Down and Oxendon Up. Both was single track The Oxendon Down Tunnel is slightly longer at 462 yrds and the Oxendon Up is 453 yrds and has a air shaft and forms part of the Brampton way public footpath. Oxendon down opened in 1859 and Oxendon Up opened in 1879. Both closed in 1984. Visited with Explorer dog Binky
