Parrs/Tangerine Confectionary
History
“He was crushed to death when two heavy metal ‘rotary arms’ kicked into action.
Tangerine Confectionary, based in Poole, Dorset, was found guilty of two counts of breaching health and safety laws.
Judge John Harrow imposed fines of £150,000 for each count and also ordered the firm to pay £72,901 prosecution costs at Bournemouth Crown Court.
This factory was originally a Parrs sweets factory which was taken over by Tangerine Confectionery in 2007 who closed it in 2013 with the loss of 75 jobs in order to increase output at the other seven sites located across the country.

Having this on the map for quite sometime we traveled over to Bournemouth, the only place really left in Tier 2 that we could find some good locations and venture.
Walking around the site, we found easy access and walked straight in, hearing a generator, we thought it was coming from the site itself but getting closer we realised it was next door so it made the explore much easier, no interruptions whatsoever, I love the old factory style explores and graffiti, makes photos look unique and very different to the residential and care homes I usually upload, consisting of a couple big warehouses, I can only imagine this would have been where all the machinery was stored, unfortunately no machinery was left behind.
Nature has definitely taken over, being derelict for some time, I’m surprised no-one has bought the land and built over the former sweet factory, with no interruptions during the hour explore we took some pictures and left!
