Not a huge amount of history on this one: It was originally built as a small country house, built somewhere between 1915 and 1922, by Percy Morley Horder for Charles Stewart Orwin, agricultural economist and historian. Following the Second World War the site became a boarding school, and was run as such by Bristol City Council between 1945 and 1988. It then closed for a number of years until 1999 when it re-opened again as an independent school for children with special needs. This was short lived, with the school's doors closing for the last time in 2000.
The place is pretty trashed, as expected, and is soon to be converted into housing.
