1991 Closure
On a hill at the end of a small residentail street. I talked to the guy who lived in the end bungalow and he had actually been down the post when it was active. The Chief Observer had died very recently he told me. Nice to talk with people who had real experience.
The post has been sold two times and the most recent owner has installed a metal cover over the hatch due to vandalism. I am told inside the post has been trashed by the local school kids. The school can't be more that 100yds away.
An Orlit A stands just in the corner but has also been heavily damaged.
