Report - Pillbox type FW3/28A Chatteris 01.01.2020

I don't know much about what the type of it is but I have found this information about it and it's a type FW3/28A. During World War II, these bunkers were used for the defense of the United Kingdom against a possible enemy invasion. They were built in 1940 and into 1941 possibly to protect the forty foot and train line nearby.

Would have mounted a 2pdr anti-tank or 6pdr hotchkiss gun for open space defence. Hence the slots and cut outs in the embrasure and floor.
