Plastmo Profiles Ltd. was formed in Denmark in the 1960s, specialising in the manufacture of vinyl guttering and PVC windows. They moved to the UK in the 1980s and were doing well, becoming a major player in the uPVC industry at the time and in 2007 turned over £22million in profit. However things went majorly wrong in 2008, with a combination of tough market competition, the financial crisis and a rise in the cost of raw materials spinning the company into a decline. In March 2008 Eurocell bought out the company which saved 150 jobs but resulted in the Northampton site closing for good.
This place was absolutely shagged - to put it politely. The ease of access from a footpath at the back of the site had meant it was obviously frequented by the local morons and youths who had wasted no time in comprehensively destroying the place. It was demolished some time in early 2017.
Not a groundbreaking or particularly interesting place by any means, but another 'seconds-quality' site cleared out of my archive at least.
Cheers for looking etc
