Hiya ppl :-). There was always gonna be a report on this place from me wasn't there .
I wont go into the history and all the conspiracy surrounding it as its been done , then done again, especially all the "mi5" stuff and "tunnels" stuff (there ARE tunnels under here, but they only seem to connect the 3 parts of the building and not go to town, monkspath, etc etc ) If however you want a bit of history, check out @Landie_Man s report here >> https://www.28dayslater.co.uk/powergen-tower-shirley-solihull-west-mids-england-jan-2017.t107042 as it covers it nicely.
My visit was spread over 3 days with @plod, @Buffalo , @DdotMC and involved many laughs, convos with secca , barbed wire in the head, oh and a stupid amount of pigeon shat, broken glass and hanging wires.
Access was actually really easy here once you spot the hidden hole in a fence (not where you'd expect to look either so dont give up if you're looking ) This site is live "during office hours" and still has 24 hr secca and some of the workmen actually live on the site by the secca cabin too so be aware of that.
In this report im gonna try and show the bits that dont really seem to have been shown on here to give a different angle on it, everyone seems to have headed directly to the roof (as i did) but the really interesting bits are much lower down in all 3 of the buildings . Ill do this over 3 separate reports "building and random bits" "the roof" and "the basement and tunnels" as otherwise this would be more pic heavy than it already is and youd all hate me for it (i took nearly 400 shots in here over my 3 visits) .
Part 1 of my trilogy is about the main parts of the building, largely stripped and currently undergoing asbestos removal in places. There are a few interesting bits about but youll need to be quick, secca say theres 16 weeks left and that the top 4 floors will be gone a lot sooner than that.
