A former campus and student accommodation in Fife. The Priory Campus is a previously listed building built in the 1800s left to fall into disrepair. Beside it, The Roundhouse, formerly student accommodation built in the 1970s. Further along, a children’s nursery. All have been abandoned since at least 2016, dates are a little sketchy, so it’s hard to know exactly when the buildings were abandoned. We first went into The Priory and wandered round the ground flood before hearing somebody moving around upstairs, a door closing and clinking cutlery so made a hasty exit and checked out the Roundhouse instead. The Roundhouse is large, with an open courtyard area in the middle of a colosseum style building, making the dark corridors quite difficult to see along due to the curvature. Both suitably creepy, even without a dark past. The long, dark, curved corridors of The Roundhouse definitely made exploring a little spooky since we couldn’t quite see too far in front of us at any point. It looks like a fire has ravaged the nursery, not much of the building remained so we didn’t go in there. A fire has destroyed part of the Roundhouse roof too, so we didn’t go all the way up to the third floor due to the safety possibility.
