With all that talk of a social in a quarry, I thought I would post some photos of our trip to Puiselet Sand Mine, near Paris. We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as a group of very friendly locals who had put a huge amount of effort into setting up this awesome party space. Proper sound system, smoke, lights, generator, fireworks. It was an amazing evening.

Puiselet is a sand mine, where there is a layer of perfect fine, white sand in between layers of undulating solid sandstone. They have removed large amounts of sand, leaving this awesome space. The strange colours are not dubious over-cooking - it really was like that due to their smoke and LED lighting.
