Report - RAF Church Fenton, Leeds - May 2019

Hi everyone I'm Megan, I'm from Doncaster

This isn't my first exploration however it is my first time posting on here so sorry if I mess up.

This is the RAF base in Church Fenton which is now known as Leeds East Airport. Because it is still a running airport it is easy to find and didn't take us long to find an entrance into the abandoned buildings that are fenced off.

Now onto the actual buildings. This is the biggest place I have explored. We didn't realise how long we'd need to see it all so ran out of daylight which is why the photos decrease in quality (all photos were taken on my Huawei P30 Pro). If anyone is wanting to visit I would suggest a good few hours. I'm hoping to go back some point next week to see more and be able to report more back onto here.

Decent first effort, just a shame to see it half demolished like that when it was such a good place a few years back

Normally I'd be suggesting you take a look at the Survival guide for newbies about now... But, there really wouldn't be any point as thats a brilliant first report and attitude!

The reason I'm pointing this out is we dont get many first posts like this. Consider yourself very welcome here.

I'm not surprised it's got in the state it is because access was so easy to gain. No security walking about or anything. Even the people in the houses next to it didn't even seem bothered.

Were there any demolition vehicles on site? A massive change from when I went in September, will have to get a report up.
