Report - RAF Swinderby - Almost gone...July 2009

This place is slowly being flattened. Most of the technical site has now gone and it looks like they are going to start on the hangers next. See it while you can...

The original tower doesn't look too bad from the front....

..but check out the back

This is what the water tower looks like once the brick structure has been removed.

Don't know what this was used for - anyone got any ideas ?

2 hangers(ex supply and possibly PT ones) still being used by companies.
Guardroom and post room all gone, water tower gone as well. The newer tower(on afd) still there, think old GSK classrooms now gone.
Old permanant staff block still there but thats all on the domestic site.
