I wonder what it's like to live next door to a derelict RAF base...
This place is a bit trashed but has some interesting history. The hospital opened in 1980 and closed in 1994 (confirmed by various signs stating that the place was last cleaned in Nov 1993!) Mostly empty rooms but the operating theaters were a nice touch.
I have spent a lot of time at RAF Upper Heyford over the years, the whole place makes for a decent mooch and you can easily spend a day there without seeing everything. All in all there's a school, volleyball court, dorm rooms, several boiler rooms and of course the hospital, all fairly easy to access.
The site is up for demolition & there is clear evidence of contractor work inside.
