Had the day off on friday so 4 of us took ourselves up to the hospital,
been done before but as its only our second explore thought we would try another easy one, will try not to replicate ukmayhems pics
So we arrived to find the whole ground floor bricked and boarded up
but soon found a chink in its armour
as has been said before the hospital has been badly attacked by chavs - every pane of glass smashed and fire hoses left on so lots of water damage and slippery floors.
anyway on with the pics - the outside
thought this was quite appropriate!
lots of water damage and damp
A lot of the ground floor is just patients rooms so not much to see really - the better rooms were upstairs !
the whole of the ground floor was pitch black due to the doors and windows being boarded up so it was quite nice to see some natural light upstairs, the lift was not suprisingly out of order
the sign said so anyway
so we found the stairs
upstairs we soon found the kitchen area
moving on after a bit of searching we found the bit we were looking for - the operating rooms
after this we stumbled upon a spiral staircase
that led to the boiler rooms , the staircase went down to the basement which was flooded
there were tons of pipes and bits that looked very important !
behind a load of boxes we even found a little cupboard full of maintenance items
then we went up to the top of the stairs
and it was then we realised how long we had been wondering around - nice sunset though.
we found what looks like the central control panel for swithching all the power on !
we found a lab with lots of stuff still in it
amazingly throughout our tour of the hospital there were lots of bathrooms and showers in the individual rooms but we only found one bath in the whole hospital eeuugghhhh
oh nearly forgot the obligatory spooky drawn curtain shot
so there are my pics - i took tons more but dont want to bore you with them all, hope you enjoyed them, comments welcome as always - thanks for looking.
