Not to get this confused with the VERY active part of RAF Wittering then its a great explore, just keeps giving. It was built in 1955 as a remote weapons store and during the cold war it even held nuclear bombs. I love the vibe this place gives off whether its a wet cold rainy day or a bright sunny day its got such an atmosphere. it compromises of two entrance posts next to the main gate, 10 rectangular storage/service buildings, 20 large storage huts, the place where 20 more storage huts were but I believe they were made of wood? perhaps as the foundations are there but not the buildings. 3 corrugated metal buildings and finally 9 large bunker style buildings each covered in grass and made to look like nothing significate from an aerial perspective.
