Visited with me, myself and I
There's not a whole lot of history on this place online, ordnance survey maps show that it's been around from around the mid to late 18th century. From what I can gather it was originally a bleach works for the local cotton mills, changing purpose towards the end of its life to become an exhaust manufacturing works run by Arvin Industries Inc.
The place appears to have closed some time last decade and has now become the reserve of copper wobbles, who stripped the place bare. There's been a couple fires which have made parts of the site very dodgy, be careful of the floors!
When I visited I was fortunate to have a glorious January sun hanging low in the sky, casting shafts of light through the smashed windows of the main hall. This place is worth a look, but not much more than that. The only real redeeming feature of interest was a short tunnel life that I found outside, but I could probably spit the distance that I didn't explore due to the thigh high mud.
Anyway, on with the pics!

The currently available access leads you into a bog, it looks like the building has sprung a leak somewhere bringing deluges of mud to rest in the place
[2]
But the mud quickly clears up!
[3]
There's not a whole lot left at all
[4]
But you rather quickly come across some enticing vistas
[5]
But don't feel down, get high!
[6]
[7]
Luckily for Arvin, I gave up smoking couple years ago!
[8]
[9]
As I said, there have been a few fires… Be Careful!!!
[10]
As I said, fucked.
[11]
[12] & [13]
Every little nook and cranny has been wrecked for the copper
[14]
Head downstairs though and you make your way into the main hall
[15] & [16]
[16]
[17]

I don't normally do this but as this is the first visit to this site, I'm going to follow-up with another post with some detailed shots.
Thanks for looking
