Redman Fisher Engineering Ltd, a member of the Hill & Smith Group, is the leading manufacturer of open grid flooring, rellocated to Telford.
This is opposite where the old Beans Foundry was in Tipton.
I posted this as lead and rumour quite a while back and there were no takers. Eventually I got around to seeing it myself and although it was quite mint in there it was also very empty and disappointing overall.
After a mooch around the vast factory floor I made my way upstairs to the offices. I could see no way of avoiding the PIRs in the narrow corridors so I quickly rushed around taking a few shots before leaving.
I'm fairly certain this building along with the old Dudley Guest Hospital were film locations for the zombie flick The Girl with all the gifts. On a couple of occasions I went passed the site again and once I saw a heavy presence of film trailers. I also found this fundraiser online https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/shewhobringsgifts
One of the reasons for posting this late is because I was hoping to tie this in with some other factories I checked out which were part of a now abandoned "coseley eco park". Instead Skelton Group Investments Limited are planning to build 900 homes and a supermarket on there. The other factories I mentioned are on the old Newey's Business Park in Tipton which also includes some of the old Beans Foundry buildings.
I'll get around to posting that eventually.
