Reid’s bar and nightclub previously known as the ivory rooms.
Reids bar and nightclub offered a venue with three smart bars including a beamed gallery and an eclectic two level restaurant with booths.
It was a popular bar and nightclub which closed down during the pandemic of covid 19 In august 2020 but re opened in October 2021 briefly before closing again.
It has now fully closed completely and is being turned into 35 luxury apartments dependent to planning etc. The last speaking of this was April 2022.
The explore-
After seeing the property had been fire damaged shortly after closing we kept an eye on this place for a little while. Well quite a well a good few months to say the least.
Off in the car we went to explore with Sprackles.
We walked through the fire damaged part of the building which looked crazy with the tables still set out for people to eat, but with half a ton of roof tiles on top of it. Walking through all of the building everything was still there in its place on top of the bars full bottles of alcohol and kegs of drinks in places.
The majority of the building was still pretty much intact, apart from the usual vandals that probably had been in there previously.
We spent a good amount of time in the building and was not disturbed by anyone or anything.
I have been told now that there has been someone boarding up the building so access unfortunately will not be available now.
