History
Cookridge Hospital opened in 1869 as a hospital for the Convalescent poor in Leeds. It is located between Horsforth and Cookridge
The hospital closed in 2008 and the patients which were admitted to the hospital at that time were transferred to the Bexley wing of St James's hospital.
The Exploration
We arrived at Hospital lane near the woodland's in which the hospital is located near and by the time we got there it was already dark!
After a short stroll through the wood's we finally stumbled across the hospital which was accessible through a hole in the fence in the woods. We then walked through the compound of the hospital and entered through a door which was open.
Please forgive me for the photo quality as the pictures were taken in the dark.
If anyone fancy's exploring drop me a message as I am looking for more hidden gems like this place
