Report- Doncaster Corporation Holmes Sewage Pumping Station

I revisited this place shortly after my first report.This is what it looks like now. Another member told me the history: ''Built in 1926 as an electrically powered sewage pumping station. Instead of dumping the sewage directly into the River Don, It was pumped to the sewage treatment plant near the airport. Closed around 2007 when the new underground station was built on the adjoining plot. The site was originally home to "The Doncaster Gas Light Co", formed in 1827 and bought out by Doncaster Corporation in 1858. the site became the works depot for the town.'' Enjoy

Well, the Avicii thing shows that it is still being actively vandalised. Little buggers but I suppose it is unavoidable.

Yeah, some teen smokers came in when I was inside, so I had to hide for a while. A lot of people know about the place, including the homeless and druggies.

I saw this place today. Walked all over town looking for anything at all to explore. I saw this from a distance and searched for a solid 2 hours for a way to get to it, to no avail. There is work going on all around it now and is almost impossible to get to the place. I only found this post because I've just spent the last 45 minutes trying to research what the building was used for haha. Great pictures, thanks
