Sub Depot 2 - Ridge Quarry

Visited with The126, Tommo, DieHardLove, loads of other guys and I can’t remember there names.

Ridge started life as a Bath-stone quarry, it was taken over in 1915 for TNT and cordite storage. In November 1936 the RAF started using the quarry for the storage of bombs and bulk explosives. During the early months of 1944 stock levels increased to a peak of 31,563 tons, most of this was used on the run up to operation Overlord.
Ridge quarry was finally abandoned by the RAF in 1955.

These last ones were the reason we were late getting out of the quarry, we were not lost.... honest!

I already get enough shit of people for taking big groups, there where 12 of us as it was, luckly ridge is fine with big groups and we have a good relationship with the farmers above so it's not to much of an issue.

I already get enough shit of people for taking big groups, there where 12 of us as it was, luckly ridge is fine with big groups and we have a good relationship with the farmers above so it's not to much of an issue.

Don't remember reading the rule that says 'No BIG GROUPS IN WILTSHIRE MINES' Or is that roots special rules for 28days ?

Anywhere is fine with big groups, do what you want, don't listen to them lot.

I do like big groups but it can be a head ache when taking pics as reef found out lol

Some nice shots there mate. It was a good day. Once again a good group of people.
I find with a lot of people, It's waiting at the back for the peopleless shot. or going for a different shot then the rest of the group.
Tho with a few people you can get a good shot with moving lights.
