this post has rather an odd story to tell,
originaly the post was situated on the east side of the town of ripley it was opened in 1964 and closed in 1966 it was then demolished and a new one was built on the west side of ripley,
this is were the A38 now runs the post was then closed in 1976 due to the new positioning of the A38
the new post was then built near ambergate and was thus named ambergate
this is the site of ripleys first ROC post
and this is the site of the second ROC post
