So I saw this one pop-up recently as I was just mooching around the places to go and shoot, that report was done in the day and I thought to myself "this will look boss at night". I've been chatting with Lew about getting on seeing some stuff; high stuff, drains, derps and mines. We decided to meet up in town purely because that would be easier for him and after supping a pint decided to give River Street a go.
With some of Hobgoblin's finest ruby ale lining our stomachs we set off through Manchester to see what we could see. Arriving on site we made our entry, getting down to the stairwell proved a challenge as I bounced my head off some rebar and had to stop to make sure I wasn't gushing red stuff needlessly over the concrete. We went up the staircase which was fucking rank, dodging used needles and grotty sleeping bags. If you do go here wear decent footwear and keep an eye out on the floor, all the needles appeared to be capped but that's beside the point. We got up to the top level just as the wind was picking up, trying to keep low to avoid being seen by people in the flats nearby, eventually though we relaxed into it and just a time enjoyed the sights.
It's been a fair while since have done any high stuff, possibly as long as five years. I'll be going back up again given the opportunity though! I'm still getting to grips with my new camera in these kind of conditions, so I've just got to find the sweet spot work and just start blasting out photos. Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

It may not be as high as flashy as some of you London high stuff, or even some of the stuff further into town, but I enjoyed getting up and getting out. I enjoyed even more going back to the pub for a fair few more pints in good company!
Thanks for looking
