Explored about a week ago. Sorry, the photos aren't great
Rose Downs & Thompson was/is a manufacturer of oil press equipment, and in the past also produced oil themselves. This site was in use from around 1890 to 1996, with the company being sold in 1988. The site contains the current foundry too which is still in use. Interestingly the owners applied for demolition of the building in 2003, but were denied due to the building having listed status. I've read this is because it was one of the first ferro concrete buildings in England, but I don't know if this is true.
The building itself is very empty, it's a shame, from the exterior it looks quite interesting. Nothing of the foundry remains and the offices above are stripped and destroyed. I was hesitant to post a report but since there isn't another one I thought it was worth it.
Exterior:
Empty
Offices above
Lovely hole
And the roof
Thanks for looking
