Visited with MSP and his 9 year old explorer son Ellis.
We got a couple of hours in before being spotted by the security guy, He was not at all happy with us at first. but after a little chat he calmed down.
The former Rossendale Hospital is a beautiful building built from local stone. The historic frontage of the former hospital is a local landmark and is both culturally and historically significant.
The building was originally erected as a “poor house†or “work houseâ€. There is some interesting information about the building and its former inhabitants.
