Decided to post this as my first post as its so well known already. I've visited this place a few times, as have most in Scotland I imagine. I love this place though, love the corridors, and stairs. Love the decay and pealing paint. Absolutely love the tiled floor in the church.
Was an easy explore thst day as there was no door at that point. Fun wee couple hours mooching about was had.
History I'll keep short as it's already on other posts. Stole from Google.
The hospital has its origins in a convalescent home for sick and needy children established on East Parade in 1872. It moved to the Baths building in 1873 and was renamed the Royal Alexandra Hospital in 1882. Piecemeal expansions occurred until the site for the present building was purchased.
Not been since the unfortunate fire recently, so no idea what condition it is in now.
