Apologys as there's very little history on this place as it only shut in February 2022 with the reason being that they are moving to a new state of the art school nearby, this premesis was described as crumbling and leaky, but I don't think it seemed in a bad state at all.
The place is still somewhat used currently as they are moving equipment from the former site to the new site, but we still managed to get in to take a look.
Finding entry took a little while but once we finally got inside we were there for a good 55 minutes before secca arrived, as a trio I might add
.
Anyhow we watched them though a window walk past to their entry point so given the opportunity that they were now the other end of the building we decided to make a quick easy exit out the main gate that he had left open
.
Hope you enjoy the pictures and sorry there's not more I can say.
First off a couple from the main hall:
The stage, that piano is being moved to the new site.
Possibly assembly room also?
View of the hall/stage from what I can only assume is a projector box?
Sports areas:
This was a smaller hall, looks more suited to gymnastics.
Dance studio.
The main sports hall, this hall was huge.
Maybe they held sports tournaments here?
Science block:
Left over chemical.
Gas taps.
Why would there be magnets attached to cars, can't say I recall doing this?.
Unsure but I know it's science equipment
Cafeteria:
Can only assume all that equipment is being moved over.
I remember those benches, we had the same at our school.
The kitchen, taken through a shutter as that area was sealed off.
The rest of the photos are pretty random classrooms ect, but worth including:
Design and technology area.
History, Geography and Religious Education area.
Unsure what this area is, maybe another hall? Open area? It didn't seem to be a class.
All the chairs up like they are ready for pupils to return tomorrow.
Yes, I did have a go..
A display in the French classroom.
A couple of long silent corridors, as expected in a closed school
.
One of many stairwells.
Most of the computor and screens are piled ready to go, these were still up.
A load of equipment taken down ready for transit.
I had to photo these just because of the nostalgia
.
And finally the only outside shot I got, the lockers.
Running out the main gate don't leave much time for outside shots.. All fun and games tho
Hope you've enjoyed that selection, not the usual natural decay and darkness but worth a visit.
