For some unexplained reason, we keep finding derp hotels lately. Now, this place is not epic by any means, but I can see that it would be goonified if posted elsewhere.
Plus it's something new and local to me, so it was worth a shot.
This place was also very fresh, having gone into liquidation in August! Originally I had thought it'd happened in January this year, but it turns out that it actually shut twice in 2018.

History -
Scalford Hall was originally built as a hunting lodge around 1900, by Major Mann Thompson. It is rumoured that Edward VIII and Mrs Simpson conducted a large part of their affair here during this time.
It remained as a hunting lodge until 1944 when it was purcahed by 'Colonel Colman', who lived there until his death in 1969.
Some time after, the hall was opened as a hotel. I can't seem to find a discernible date for when this happened.

Again, nothing special, but another new one crossed off. Cheers
