Visited with Gaj - thank you again for a great time..
It was really cold up there, not helped by the freezing wind coming from the Thames, but the climb was deffinately worth the effort.
The panoramic views, as you can imagine, were amazing. From up top of the Sea Containers House London is luminescent, the London Eye, OXO Tower and much more made up an amazing vibrant potrait of old and new city.
A bit of history (Wikipedia): Sea Containers House was originally conceived as a luxury hotel. Its location, in the heart of London’s business district, led to the decision to complete it instead as office space. Its name comes from the former long-term tenant, Sea Containers. In Spring 2011, a process began to gain planning permission for an extensive internal and external refurbishment of Sea Containers House. The east and west wings, which face the Thames, will remain offices, while the south wing will be renovated as the Mondrian Hotel London, bringing at least part of the building back to its original intended use.
