Some brief history:
After wandering around for a while, we decided on a plan of action and waited. The right moment came, and we were in, and up. This place is bigger than I first imagined it after seeing the first reports months and months ago. I've wanted to do it ever since these went up, so was pleased to finally get in under my belt.Sea Containers House was originally conceived as a luxury hotel. Its location, in the heart of London’s business district, led to the decision to complete it instead as office space. Its name comes from the former long-term tenant, Sea Containers.
In Spring 2011, a process began to gain planning permission for an extensive internal and external refurbishment of Sea Containers House. The east and west wings, which face the Thames, will remain offices, while the south wing will be renovated as the Mondrian Hotel London, bringing at least part of the building back to its original intended use.
