Another one of Avonmouth's chemical plants for todays throwback. Sevalco specalised in making carbon black for the tyre/motor industry. It was an absolute filthy plant and one of the dirtiest explores I think I've ever done. It closed in 2008 after the global financial crash and a decrease in the demand for such products. The site was pretty vast as you can see on this historical google earth image:
Visited with @rigsby and Silverstealth. Sadly didn't get much time to play here, security were pretty on the ball generally all over Avonmouth so you could never relax. Shame because this place had so much potential including its own power station and plenty a platform/chimney to climb. We had to leave pretty quickly on this occasion when security turned up. It was already in part demo but the electric mostly on so it was one where you needed to be careful. A few years after this visit they found a skeleton of a women at the back of the site, pretty much where we had gained access from - at a guess it was probably there when we visited - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-12715615
